BOOST UNLIMITED FOR $49.99 - Pros and Cons
0 Comments »
Discussion forums are buzzing with speculation that T-Mobile is about to respond to the $49 unlimited Boost Mobile voice plans. If the information is correct (and it’s very possible that this is nothing but wishful hoaxing or a retention plan someone lucked into) expect a $49 unlimited voice plan with everything but messaging and data. There may be a family plan for $89 plus $39/ea additional line. Recent news has implied that T-Mobile is bearing the brunt subscribers defecting for the new Boost $49 unlimited plan. The deal killer for me? Data is still a $24.99 add-on.
now, i called tmobile and they ARE testing this thing out in san francisco and if they get enuf interest, it will go nationwide. i dont care because im getting rid of my tmobile and getting the boost.

I have it had it when it started..
shyt is terrible.. Text messages are always late or fucked up.. receive multiple text of the same shyt at weird hours of the day like 3 in the morning that can get a ninja FUCKED up by wifey if ya phone aint off
Can't always get thru on ya calls takes 4 sum times 5x of redialing
Same with sending text.. don't always go thru.. gotta send text 5x
there is no call waiting or at least since I had tried it.. maybe they are trying newer shyt
DROPS like nobody's business.. yea that awkward silence after u say a joke or sumn rude.. well shorty aint always on the other line still listening.
Overall for a nigga with no contract and in need of a go to phone if u have more than 1 jack.. it can work.. honestly waiting to see other competitors
Pros: No contract
Cons: Just about everything
Summary: Where do you start? the Customer Service is terrible. They honestly don't have a clue about anything. Calls always dropping; The phones are terribly outdated. I couldn't text for the first 5 days after activation. I call customer care for help with the problem and they say there is nothing they can do. I was just going to have to wait. Finally the text works, but even that is a waste of time. I text people throughout the day an never get nothing back. Turns out every night at about 2:30-3:00am my phone goes crazy with a bunch of texts people have sent me throughout the day. I made the mistake of calling customer care because after waiting 30min all they could say was that's just the way it is and their is nothing they could do. I only had that prob half the time. All the other times the text NEVER EVEN WENT THROUGH, and when it did go through it wouldn't reach the other person til 20-30min later. And when I ever did receive a text I would have to sometimes wait up to 5min to download it. A lot of time I would wait 5min and it would just say "transport error". This happened quite frequently. I'm with AT&T now and their 10x better. DO NOT JOIN BOOST.
and here is a good review:
Pros: Great price, coverage area, friendly customer service (so far!).
Cons: Very basic phone.
Took about a day for txt messages I received to show who sent them. Now it works perfectly.
Summary: I purchased this phone at Target for $30.00. I did so hesitantly because of some of the reviews here. However, Boost still seemed like the best deal for me. I'm doing the dollar a day plan. The phone is very basic but it works fine. I've not had any problems with missed calls or bad signal. Another reviewer posted a review a few weeks ago who lives in the same county as me. I've not had any of the problems they had! Also, there were plenty of 757 area codes available when I activated. The reception is great, phone is inexpensive, I've only had one run in with customer service (My husband accidentally clicked the wrong area code while activating my phone) and the agent was incredibly polite and gave me a new number within 2 minutes of us dialing the number. I've only had the phone for a few days but really, it's a dollar a day, I don't see how this is a bad deal.
